OUTREACH | HUMAN HEART
IKEBUKURO PARK ART OUTREACH: Today the YWAM Tokyo Creative Arts ministry lead an outreach in the Ikebukuro Park. We wanted to create a 3D cardboard sculpture of the human heart. We started with the theme: “I have a Maker; He formed my heart” or “わたしにはつくりぬしがいます。かれがわたしのこころをつくってくれました。” We wanted a simple theme of Maker who knows your heart. The goal of this outreach was to create a visual curiosity that would pull Japanese people in. Many young people came and talked with us.
The whole project took about 5 hours and during this time we met a lady from Taiwan, a teacher from Rikkyo Universtiy where we have been doing evangelism, and also a Muslim.
The YWAM Tokyo base is planning a Christmas part and we were able to invite many of the friends we made from this outreach. It was a good way to get peoples info and invite them to the Christmas event where the gospel will be shared. I am excited for what God is doing in Ikebukuro and Japan at large. Please keep praying for His kingdom to be expanded here.
